My first blanket!

My first ever blanket (and granny square project) is complete, and on Granny Square Day!!

Last night I finished it up when I ran out of suitable colours to crochet a full round with (33″ square). I did have some very bright bubblegum pink, but it didn’t seem appropriate alongside the more muted/dusky pinks I’d already used.

The pattern is by Daisy Cottage Designs and I used inherited acrylic yarns. They were a bit old and scratchy, but I ran it through a cold wash with plenty of fabric conditioner which helped a lot. I’m proud of my first ever blanket!
