About me

My name’s Jenny. I’m a 40-something human (she/her) from Manchester, UK.

I live in the north of England, formerly with my beloved canine companion, Vulpe.

I’ve been vegan for ~15 years and my personal preference is to only use plant-based or other non animal-derived yarns/fibres. (Note that yarns on both sides of the vegan divide have environmental and/or ethical concerns – not that you asked, but as with all things I recommend you do the best you can in line with your own budget and values.)

I’ve had many attempts at knitting over the years but lost interest when it came to more complex patterns (I’ve recently been diagnosed with dyspraxia and I think crochet is more forgiving of my clumsiness and lack of coordination/concentration somehow).

I learned to crochet in the summer of 2022 the first time I caught covid (read about it here) and I haven’t looked back since.
