A crafty & foodie Easter weekend

After a long stint of extremely frazzling day-job activity, I was more than ready for a long Easter weekend. I planned a lot of lovely crafty and food-filled fun so here’s a little photo diary of the last few days.

On Easter Friday I nursed a work-payday-drinks hangover and did very little. The fun started on Saturday with a makers’ market at The Lowry shopping centre (Salford Quays). I treated myself to some earrings, a lovely white and gold jesmonite trinket dish, and some delicious take-away foods from Teatime Collective and Vegan Picnic Basket. Then it was over to the Lowry food hall for vegan injera and a beer.

When I got home on Saturday I also found a very exciting parcel delivery. I recently ordered two hooks in the Furls mystery seconds sale; at £10 each they were a bargain not to be ignored, and ordering two made it worth the delivery cost from the USA to the UK. I ordered a 6mm and a 10mm and I cannot see the imperfection(s), whatever they may be!

On Easter Sunday, my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful vegan Sunday roast dinner at Otto Vegan Empire, followed by baklava for dessert…

On the last day of the long weekend, I went along to the Craft & Flea in Manchester Cathedral.

I treated myself to a cute pair of mushroom earrings (and a matching necklace), a set of vintage mugs, and a beautiful handmade cosmetics bag and glasses case from Elephas Handmade, which I’ll use as a crochet project bag and hook case for travelling.

And finally, a weekend of wonderful food and crafty fun was rounded off with a delicious breakfast burger and salt & pepper hashbrowns from Wholesome Junkies.
