My love affair with the Sirdar jewelspun aran range continues. A beautiful acrylic yarn in some stunning colourways; this wrap used almost a full skein of the shade ‘nordic noir’, a wonderful array of blues and purples.
The pattern is super simple and mindless; indeed Kayla over at AltKnots touts it as one to work up whilst listening to an audiobook. That works too, but I watched an array of silly nonsense telly and films, and lots of fun YouTube crochet vlogs. The pattern is perfect for getting to grips with a simply granny stitch project.
I started on 4 March (reluctantly modelled by Vulpe, below) then took a bit of a break before picking it up again this past weekend, finishing on 24 March.
This is a perfect one-skein project when it comes to the Sirdar jewelspun range; I used my Furls 5mm hook. Two skeins would make it even bigger and cosier.
After a steam block, it’s now on its way to its new home.
