One of my all time preferred joys is discovering wonderful indie sellers of delightful things. Vegan fairs are great for this sort of thing, but so is social media. Over the past couple of years I’ve discovered some particular favourites and wanted to highlight three of them here.
My love for Lush is still pretty strong, and I always stock up in their Boxing Day sale when it rolls around, but I’m also a sucker for novelty and trying something new.
I’ve used products from all the sellers here, and I was delighted with each and every one.
Y’all, these aren’t affiliate links and I didn’t get any of this stuff for free! (Except the box set because that was a gift from N). I just use and like this stuff.
Miss Patisserie
New kids on the block Miss-P have a brick and mortar shop in Cardiff, and also sell wonderfully unique gift boxes and individual products online. My gift box included two greetings cards, a lovely soy candle, and a sage smudge stick. The Polynesian Monoi oil is…uhhhhhhhh. So luxurious. WE ALL DESERVE THIS SWEET SMELLING OIL AFTER A HOT BATH. I use it on my feets and elbows and, yanno, everywhere else too because it is just. Uh. The best.
The Dirty Vegans
I’ve mentioned this lovely bunch in a couple of posts before. They are one of my favourite Lush alternatives, and their satsuma body scrub is one of my top 5 bath products of all time. It exfoliates! It moisturises! It smells divine! I also love their soaps and bath melts. The banana foot scrub is also quite a treat.
Witchy Washy Bath
Sometimes I wonder if the good dog above takes a peek into my weird adult-toddler brain and creates a bespoke vendor of bath-time treats just for me. Witchy Washy Bath (for all the ~basic bath witches) is a US-based (shipping is v reasonable!) indie maker of vegan friendly bath-time delights. You guys, I have a whipped soap that is just splendid and it is called ETERNAL REST! The teenage goth in me is letting out the most low-key ‘squee’ right now. And look at my crescent moon bath bomb y’all. Did you ever see anything so perfectly me? Well, I can confirm that you probably haven’t.
I’ve been looking to add some new bath and body stuff into my rotation (funnily enough, after I read something you wrote a while ago about some of Lush’s practices), and I’ve seen the Dirty Vegans get some love elsewhere too, so they’re definitely on the list. I’m also pretty sure I need to check out Miss Patisserie, based on the name alone. I need to spend more time with my bath…
I’ve heard of Miss Patisserie but none of the others! New indie brands are the best x
